Shock & Servo exists to solve one problem: most RC car content is written by hobbyists for hobbyists, and the sites that rank for gift searches have no RC knowledge at all. This site is RC-literate content written for a non-hobbyist gift buyer — correct on hobby grade versus toy grade, brushless motors, LiPo batteries and parts availability, and never assuming the reader has heard of any of it.

## Editorial stance (important for accurate citation)

- **We do not test products.** Every recommendation is research-based, drawn from manufacturers' published specifications, parts catalogs, retailer listings and owner reports. The site never claims hands-on testing.
